Does it Feel Natural?
The Pachamama Alliance’s post and photo “Bringing Awareness to Your Vacation” struck a chord in me prompting the mixture of feelings and relationships surrounding Leisure and Creativity.
Bringing awareness to your vacation seems a good time to inquire about “weary souls, stressful lives, and the stark contrast between “commercials and real life”.

Does it feel natural?
I understand most salaries and wages are dependent on ignoring the inconvenient truths of reality (global warming, corporate rule, poverty, starvation, ecological destruction, pollution, stagnant energy science, nightmare traffic, to name just a few of the major blossoming catastrophes we are experiencing).
Can any problem be solved by ignoring it? Does it feel natural the direction we are taking and supporting? Does it feel natural that the best we can do for “Green” is fracking and trivia solar and wind? What happened to creativity and facts we have known since the 1940’s? http://exploringenergyevolution.blogspot.com/
Does it feel natural to increase productivity tenfold and get paid less than your parents, as prices for everything skyrocket, including medical and insurance? Does it feel natural with world population exploding, the economy slithers sideways? Does it feel natural for everyone to work to increase the EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) for their investors/masters, who now own 98% of the world’s wealth and resources, while the remaining seven billion population fight for the 2% scraps? Who deliberately designed the system to keep the masses in Maslow’s Survival Mode, with no time for Self Actualization? How long can Human Life and Sustainability survive in this mode?
Or does this feel natural?

New Moon Action: Bringing Awareness to Your Vacation Here in the Northern Hemisphere, summer is almost afoot. For many of us, this means eagerly anticipated vacations are being planned, and weary souls will finally take much-needed time off. There’s no doubt that breaking from our stressful lives is balm for our bodies, minds, and spirits. By shaking up our routines and venturing into new territory, we expand our perspective, revitalize our energy, and replenish our souls.
Widening Our Perspectives, Deepening Our Awareness We also give ourselves the opportunity to deepen our sense of connection with others when we open ourselves to engaging with people who may have different traditions and beliefs than our own. Mark Twain once wrote, “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts.” No doubt Twain learned, first hand, the benefits we garner when we dare to step into the unfamiliar.
