Eisenstein’s book Sacred Economics, this 12 minute film delves into our evolving
sense of self, and why we have come to depend on a monetary society instead of
a gifting economy; how we view natural resources as “stuff” and how engaging in
a fiscally-based mindset can prevent us from creating a more beautiful world.
Often we ask ourselves, “Can we afford to?”
This film is director Ian MacKenzie’s gift back after reading Eisenstein’s book,
which first published in July. Eisenstein is also the author of The
Ascent of Humanity.
